The Cornerstones for Meditation with Amy Ward Brimmer
4 Wednesdays: May 7 to May 28
7:00 – 8:30 pm

In this four-week series, Amy Ward Brimmer will provide you with the essential tools to create a meditation routine that is both grounded and transformative.

Meditation is simple, but it’s not always easy. It requires consistent practice and guidance to build a sustainable, meaningful practice.

This course will explore the Series of Fours—practical tools and frameworks to support mindfulness, balance, and focus:

🌿 Four postures for meditation
🌿 Four foundations of mindfulness
🌿 Four steps of “RAIN” practice
🌿 Four elements – earth, water, air, and fire
🌿 Four positive actions – kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity
🌿 Four anchors for attention – body, breath, sound, thoughts & emotions

In this series, you'll learn:
✔️ How to meditate and overcome common obstacles
✔️ The benefits of meditation for both personal and spiritual growth
✔️ Practical tips for establishing and maintaining a regular meditation practice
✔️ How the Cornerstones of Meditation can help deepen and stabilize your practice
✔️ Creative ways to develop a meditation practice that suits you

**While there is a natural progression to the series, each class stands on its own, allowing participants to attend individual sessions and still gain valuable insights and benefits. Space is limited, preregistration is recommended.


HOW TO PREPARE FOR CLASS

Dress in clothing that allows you to sit comfortably in a chair, or on a meditation cushion. Feel free to bring a blanket, meditation cushion or pillow for your comfort. Chairs and/or meditation cushions will be provided.

You may bring a bottle of water that has a secure cap.

UPON ARRIVAL

Remove your shoes and leave them outside of the studio. Place your phone on silent. Enter the studio and find your place to sit with quiet awareness and turn your attention within.
